With a physiotherapy degree and postgraduate diploma in OH&S, Michelle has been building her skills and knowledge in health and wellbeing for the better part of twenty years. Since leaving full-time education, she has continued to deepen her knowledge, completing a range of courses in fields from senior First Aid through to Workplace Training and Program Design. Several years working in both private practice and major hospitals have given her a wealth of experience in clinical assessment, managing injuries and chronic pain, exercise physiotherapy, return-to-work programmes and a host of other functions across and beyond the traditional physiotherapy spectrum. She is also an accredited trainer and assessor and now brings this experience and her passion for wellness and risk managment to the services available from Injury Prevention Plus.
Away from work, Michelle sponsors a variety of personal development charities. She is also an Exercise Science course clinical supervisor and has been a guest lecturer in Indigenous Health at both Notre Dame and Curtin Universities. Michelle participated in elite junior sports, contributes her time and experience to community education through World Café Forum, and brings her unique energy and organisational flair to the sports field, volunteering at various sporting events.
The Health and Fitness industry was Anthony’s first stop after high school and led immediately to a Bachelor of Science. With time out to pursue sporting success at the highest level, from 2003 Anthony has built a substantial portfolio of experience in injury prevention and management, rehabilitation and exercise physiology. He has tailored return-to-work programs for individual employees and developed and implemented injury management policies and health initiatives for workforces involving more than ten thousand employees and contractors. His substantial body of experience has culminated in his involvement with Injury Prevention Plus bringing strong supervisory, organisational and project management skills to the team.
A previous elite hockey player, Anthony is equally passionate about health and fitness away from work. An accomplished marathon runner, he contributes his time to coaching and mentoring and is heavily involved in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He is also a well-known cyclist and has been an avid supporter of the Ride For Youth, a charity event dedicated to the prevention of youth suicide, as well as the Ride to Cure Diabetes, for which he has fundraised over $150,000 in the last twelve years.
Before graduating in Exercise Rehabilitation, Bhavisha was already building up experience in the exercise programme field working as an assistant to Physiotherapists, Sports Coaches and Exercise Physiologists. Since her graduation, she has worked as an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist specialising in customised programmes for injured workers and injuries following motor vehicle accidents. Workplace Health and Safety and Strength and Conditioning Programmes for Elite Athletes are also part of her field of expertise. An avid sportswoman herself, Bhavisha brings her extensive knowledge about training, conditioning, physical performance and anatomy into the services she provides to her clients.
Her excellent knowledge of the sport, health and fitness industry stems from her personal passion for sports. Bhavisha was part of the U18 Female WA cricket team and today she is a member of Western Fury, the representative women's cricket team of Western Australia. She also found the time to play in the 1st team of the Whitford Hockey Club for four consecutive years. Currently, she continues to support the Hockey Club volunteering as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
